Windows explore File..New list

This is not important, nor PB, it just would be nice to know.

When in windows explorer (win2k) and with a folder highlighted, clicking on the File menu, then the New subitem list will display a list of options - New Folder - and a massive list of junk.

How did the junk get there in the first place (it has some really obscure bits and bobs, some from demos installed and uninstalled ages ago)

And how can I get it out? Can't find a way to remove the items.

They're in the ShellNew subdirectory of your windows directory.
