Spam bots

Post by Samuel »

Geez in the last few days the forums have gained over 500 new members.
I think it's safe to assume most if not all are spam bots.

I'm sure everyone has noticed the spam posts about shoes, porn, gibberish, and whatnot that have been appearing.
I'm sure it's common sense, but don't ever click on a link unless it's from a trusted member who's been around here for a while or else your computer might get herpes.

Seems like someone has declared all out war against the PB forums. I hope I don't get drafted.

From February 12, 750+ new users with names made by random characters and numbers.
And maybe 10 real new users, or something like that.

I've noticed the forums take longer to load lately, or time out often.
There definitely is some sort of DOS attack going on. Started a bit
after SpiderBasic was announced.
I compile using 5.31 (x86) on Win 7 Ultimate (64-bit).

The monkeys are riled and throwing their bananas at the spider.
Best wishes to the PB community. Thank you for the memories. ♥️

I've noticed this, too.
