when i want to go to the site
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/wind ... -multiboot
the address changed to http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/wind ... windows-xp
with a content:
Support for Windows XP is ending soon
On April 8, 2014, support and updates for Windows XP will no longer be available
i was browsing using Windows xp, and the only way to see the original page is to click on the cached page in google.
thats shame really and bad behavior. they want us to buy windows 8.x by force.
Support for Windows XP ends on April 8, 2014
Re: Support for Windows XP ends on April 8, 2014
Well, if I go there with my Windows 8.1 PC I'm getting redirected to the very same page - of course without the XP notice. So the page you're looking for simply doesn't exist anymore...applePi wrote:when i want to go to the site

If any of you native English speakers have any suggestions for the above text, please let me know (via PM). Thanks!

Nothing quite nefarious as that. It's just that because your browser is reporting that you're using Windows XP, you're seeing the banner about the operating system reaching end-of-life. They haven't removed the content, the page was simply rewritten. The new article name is What happened to the boot.ini file?applePi wrote:i was browsing using Windows xp, and the only way to see the original page is to click on the cached page in google.
