Default Values for Gadgets

Hi

I am now investigating the form designer after having used PB for several years without ever looking at the form designer. I like what I see but I wondered if there was a method to have a default configuration for each gadget so that I did not have to set all the properties each time? For example a default font name, size, colour, height, width etc. I also wondered whether there could be default code for events or procedures. Something that would have roughly the same effect as a base class in OOP. Perhaps something like this already exists and I just need some enlightenment.
