its a workaround for me if i have to manipulate the original model in 3d app because without that pb couldn´t load it.
btw. it works for me now.
.mesh and .material is okay.
i hope animation is easy like this.
3d model with more than one texture
Re: 3d model with more than one texture
Well, your original mesh format is in b3d which is a private format only designed for use with Blitz3D. No wonder you need a tool to convert it in another format if you want to use it outside of B3D. That said, glad to see than OgreAssimpConverter did its job
.
Re: 3d model with more than one texture
i know that...
but i have ultimate unwrap 3d to texture my models and thats export to xml ogre format.
i have the tool to convert it, too.
but is there no way to expand the featurelist of pb wich any other formats?
3ds, or something?

Re: 3d model with more than one texture
PureBasic uses the OGRE engine which I'm sure you already know. OGRE does not support any formats besides its own mesh format.
Therefor you need to use an exporter or converter to change your format to OGRE. Not much else you can do about it.
If you want OGRE to support other formats then you'll have to take it up with them.
I'm sure they will say just use the proper exporter or converter though.
Anyways for me personally now that I have the hang of it. It only takes a minute or two to convert my models and animations to OGRE.
I'm sure it's not that big of an inconvenience to you or is it?

Re: 3d model with more than one texture
There is a 3ds converter somewhere on this forum.
Edit: You can use ultimate unwrap 3d to convert from B3D to Ogre XML.
Edit2: Also, take a look at DeepMesh http://www.deepmesh3d.com/
DeepMesh is coded with PB.

If it sounds simple, you have not grasped the complexity.
