Elite: Dangerous (2014)

I remember one of my all time favorite games: David Braben's 'Elite'.

I was caught up in the "vastness" of space trading, hunting and pirating.
Since Elite I've followed and played the Amiga version of "First Encounters".

So....now decades later David Braben is finally at it again: Elite Dangerous is coming 2014.



Anyone currently working on spacesims better get them finished and released now, because
Frontier Developments will 'probably' set a competely new standard, when it comes to
'free open space' games.

I'm really interested in this... but lets hope its better than the initial release of Frontier was on the Amiga

Frontier on the miggy was fine as long as you avoided autopilot lol

That picture is actually a artist rendition. Though that really is the visual quality they are aiming for (and last I saw actual footage/caps it lo0oked pretty close).
If only it manages to capture that old Frontier Elite feeling (I played that a lot way back on the Amiga) then this will be a huge hit indeed.
