In 5.10 the IDE use new tab controls for switching between different sourcecodes.
With this new tabs we are able to drag the tabs and change their order in a project. But after closing and re-opening the project the tabs will show the old order.
It seems the IDE does not save the new tab order in the project file.

Re: 5.10 b2 - order of editor tabs are not saved
It never saved tab order, and it's not planned.
Re: [Done] 5.10 b2 - order of editor tabs are not saved
Would be nice though. Maybe this should be converted into a feature request.
If any of you native English speakers have any suggestions for the above text, please let me know (via PM). Thanks!

*push* (3 years later I would like to ask again politely)
Fred and Freak, is there any chance to get a function to save the order of project related tabs? Now they are simply alphabetically ordered, which is probably not optimal for every user and project.
It would be nice, if the tabs would at least arranged like they are ordered in the project files dialog.

Re: Order of editor tabs are not saved
Allow this in the project preference, PLEASE. It does not matter what ordinary source files are sorted like but a project deserves a sort more complex than alphabetically.
And i think you can understand that.

Optional, of course. Such checkbox below the what-project-files-to-open ratio options would be more than nice-to-have.
