Myxostelidae and pathfinding

Post by Olliv »

Myxostelidae is an "UFO of the life". It's not an animal, not a plant, not a lung. It's a "protist".
It's just lonely cell with... many cores.

A cell core contains genetic informations. What is surprising with this "protist" is its ability to link two food sources by a way which tends to be the shortest. It's seems like the pathfinding. But I am not sure the behaviour stays regular if the intersted scientist would add more food sources.

What I find intersting it's considering the size difference between a cell core which is microscopic (it's the "brain" of the cell. It contains memory, DNA and interface, RNA mainly) and the size of this living entity we can see easily without tool.

What I think interesting personnally (too!), it's this UFO can destroy a type of cancer named epithelioma (carcinome) if it localised in the nose or in the pharynx.
