Pile Up (Columns-Clone)

Post by Tomcat »

Hello again,

this was my first game written in PB. It's pretty big for a Tetris-like
game (~3mb, must have overdone it with the graphics ;), but you should
give it a try. It even features a simple KI in Battle-Mode, if there's
nobody around to play a match.

You can download it here. You'll also find some screenshots there.

For those who don't know Columns, see the readme or just wait at the
title for a moment, until the self-running demo starts.

Bye,
Tomek

Wow! Addictive:)

I especially like how well you do your menu screens.

Very professional.

Pls keep up the great work

Yes, very nice.....

I already had a copy.... with a cd.exe also ! What's the differences ?

I've been playing this a lot since I got it !

Also any chance of some source code example for the menus ? They are way too cool and would be great to learn from :)

The 'cd.exe' changes the color-depth in the config-file (my brother got a Voodoo 3 and couldn't play it with 32-Bit). I've uploaded a new zip with this file+readme. But if you have no problems, there's no need for it.

Same as Pure Racer: no sources left, because my dev-directory was on the disk that crashed. But there's nothing special about the menus. I mean: they're just 3D-Sprites. You can change alpha or zoom and rotate them. Also try different blendingmodes. That's all :)

Usually I play this game with my brother for deciding something that needs to be decided. Whether he´s the next to get some ice for the white russian or not, for example. Or who´s next to role the splif

The simple, yet addictive gameplay makes it perfect for a quick tournament (in case your dreamcast is broken :D )

Tomcat is a friend of mine, so I had the pleasure of playing this game since the day the first version had been finished. Well, since then, I knew how far he exceeds me when it comes to gamedevelopment. KUDOS!
