Linux Games

Post by Paul »

Anyone who is running Linux and would like to test a few games...
http://www.reelmediaproductions.com/pb/linux

These were originally compiled with PureBasic for Windows and I was able to recompile with PureBasic for Linux with almost no modification to the original code.

Fred is really doing an amazing job with PB as a cross platform compiler !!

Enjoy !! :)

I downloaded Tributoids , but it doesn't run.. it says "permission denied". I have Mandrake and I logged in like root. PureBasic Linux works fine on my system.

Hi Seldon,

You must set permissions on the file to allow it to execute on your system.

the games run fine paul...

The only issue i had is that they keep on running in the background
when stopping the programs... they where eating my mem and where splitt
into 3 processes, probably "threads" which wherent killed correctly i think..

Some hickups on the grafix when CPU is in high load...

but still a great port !! :-)

keep it rolling...

Ok, thank you. I'm a new-bie to Linux world (started to be interested on it because of PureBasic Linux version).
