Built in Database Engine

Would you like to have a built in database engine in Purebasic that would work under Windows and Linux and still preserve the ODBC connection system we already have?

Being brand new to Purebasic..........I did a little research and have been exploring the possibility of using Pervasive Workgroup edition to embed datatabase/btrieve access. I need it for my applications..........
