DirectSoundCreate8_ polink error PB 5 beta 6

After installing Pb 5 Beta 6 i get a pollink error DirectSoundCreate8_ but this is resloved when i overwrite purelibraries\windows\libraries\dsound.lib (2.62kb file dated 19/10/2012:18:00) to dsound.lib (3.94k file dated 25/07/2012:16:12:18)

Hi Fred sorry only just seen your post Beta 6 x86. tried installing several times with the same effect, just tried it again and watched it change to the 3k version in explorer not tried the x64 version as the examples i was playing with dont run on x64. "MP_Picture_to_3D.pb" from MP3D_31_x86.exe" as i said polink issue was DirectSoundCreate8_ unresolved. This time MP_Picture_to_3D.pb compiles fine with the installed dsound.lib ‎25 ‎July ‎2012, ‏‎16:12:18 2,684 bytes from the beta 6 x86 install.

Sorry about that dont mean to waste your time had tried several examples from the MP3D install and was having the same issue then. So i dont know what the cause was

PB doesn't have lastest lib (for internal reasons), it has the one needed for it internally. It's not a bug, you can upgrade them if you need more recent versions.
