Just came back to this to try it again and figured out what I did wrong the first time. I didn't add the ".avi" extension when saving. I thought that it would automatically add this. Anyway, it works!

Re: AVIServ.dll - Read/Write AVI
Hello dige
There is a new post about your dll on the french forum: http://www.purebasic.fr/french/viewtopi ... 51#p148351
I struggle with my French these days and do not know how well the Bing Translator has done (though seems to make sense). Unfortunately I never learnt enough German to be able to communicate.
So, some questions in English:
"OpenAVIforWrite()" displays a small window For the User To Select a codec.
Is it possible instead to add the codec name to the AVI_INFO structure?
I would like to default to the Microsoft Video 1 codec which is the best choice for my app.
Other reasons:
1) Some of the codecs available either do not work or the results are not good
2) Many Users will not know what codec to choose
The Unicode version AVIServ093UC.dll does not seem to want to work with PB4.61. Still, PB5 will be out soon - do you plan to support PB5?
