[Poll] oldefoxx vs MachineCode

Post by MachineCode »

Due to my disagreement with oldefoxx here --> http://www.purebasic.fr/english/viewtop ... 17&t=51537 <-- I decided to make an anonymous online poll to see if others really do think I'm out of line. Please take part, and if the majority think I'm being an idiot, then I'll eat humble pie and shut up and never post here again. So here's your chance to silence me!

After reading the link above, please vote anonymously here --> http://www.misterpoll.com/polls/568216

MODS: Please don't delete this post, because oldefoxx said the following and this poll will show me if it's true.
oldefoxx wrote:Machinecode, I got some private email about you. One tired to
apologize for you as not being representative. Well, I know you are
not representative of many things, but on the other hand, you do
represent certain things worth mentioning. A sort of contest is
underway to see what terms might best relate to you. Some of the
most standout ones are:

MachineCog - gums up the works and keeps the wheels and gears from turning
"immature primate" - I wonder what that is suppose to mean?
"The Profane One" - Fitting at the time

Well MachineCode, I think that was just oldefoxx's way of trying to be friendly with someone who seems to be determined to be a foe.

I'm not saying that I admire all of his ramblings but it is fair to say that he sometimes puts in some good questions too.

So why can't we just accept that it takes all sorts to make this world? He is restricted to using the Off Topic part of the forum and if we are not interested in what he is writing, we do not have to read it do we?

If it sounds simple, you have not grasped the complexity.

Well, if others are talking about me behind my back with him, I'd like to know it. At this stage I'm not sure if he's lying about it or not. If others think I'm an immature primate and clogging these forums, then the poll is their chance to let me know. Because I sure don't want to be here if that's the concensus about me.

Need to thicken that skin a little MachineCode. :) Seriously, there are better things to worry about than people talking about you behind your back. My socks for one... damn things keep vanishing. Reckon fangbeast is eating them again the b*stard! :)

Glad to see that someone higher up can see what I saw, and ended the blog.

This forum is not a blog, but neither is it an arena for you to fight out your private fights in public. That too would be best done on your own blog page.

Eating pie? Agonizingly boring. Give us a chance for this: Image

Joking aside. I vote for you. As I said in other threads, this old spamer should be fired from this forum. He don't make questions, he don't give answers, he's only spaming. He suggest in his 'blog', that the author has much know-how. But the very reverse is the case. He is posting always the same, posting codes are complete nonprofessional and bring wrong results, posting link-lists which everybody can find easily.

The problem I see, when a newbie comes to this forum and read oldefoxx's blogs, he's thinking, pb is out of date, you have to write console programs and bring wrong results. In this case, I would fast as i can look for other programing languages.

You are on an public place ... so always there are people who doesn't like you.
If you just want to be on places where everyone likes you ... you need to stay
behind doors just with (good) friends.
And btw. i doesn't like people who are fighting private fights in public, too.

It's not a private fight, though. It was him posting off-topic babble in areas that we all have to read. Me (and others) telling him to stop got nowhere, so it led to all this. If he respected netiquette rules in the first place, this never would have happened. But he couldn't take the hint, no matter how many people told him (it wasn't just I) and no matter which other places kicked him out for it. Just saying.
