How to distribute

Post by Kukulkan »

Hi,

I compiled a program for MacOS using PureBasic 5 beta. I now want to distribute this to the first users. At the beginning, I don't want to use Apple's distribution channels. The customers should simply download and run the setup like on Windows. As I'm not a Mac guru, can you please answer me some questions?

1) Is it possible for Mac users to get a single file (dmg?) from me to install? Are there any restrictions?
2) How to create a dmg file? I need to place a few dylib and some other files (images etc) in a program folder. How to do this dmg file?
3) Are there any programns available to help me doing such installer? Free or commercial?

[edit]We already have some certificate and Apple store account for providing iOS software. Is this of any use here?[/edit]

Maybe there is some guide for such questions out there in the internet, but I did not find :-(
