PVG-3D CAD/CAM/CNC and GAMEDEV programs ... Development

Post by marc_256 »

Hi,

After 2 years of preparations and writing a lot of test programs,
the point of no return is fixed on the first of Sept. 2012.

I start that day with the assembling of all the small test programs to make/build one big program.
(I will give myself one year to breng out my first release (Sept. 2013))

Features:
- Bring all parts of user programs to one program. (all in one)
- Easy interface between all parts of development.

Part 1) - Technicaly development CAD/CAM/CNC
Part 2) - real 3D GAME Development, with the use of OGRE Engine and BULLET Physic Engine.

All is written in the best of all "PureBasic 4.61...4.70"

Here is the main window:

I like to have some reactions about the gamedev. programs.
- Is there something missing ??
- Are there parts/programs to add ?

thanks,
marc,

Hi Marc

Well, from a User perspective, why include CAM/CNC for a Game Developer and Game Development tools for an Engineer? I think it makes sense to build two separate apps properly targeted at their appropriate market.

If it sounds simple, you have not grasped the complexity.

Hi Marc

I would tend to agree with IdeasVacuum, While I expect there'd be some duel uses of the modules
it would still make more sense to create separate applications to specifically target engineering and games development

keep at it! :)

hi IdeasVacuum and idle,

You are write,
but I started with my (oldest) company 27 years ago, and there it's more engineering (left side),
and the other (Newest company) is the (right side) is the GameDev.

The reason why is, a lot of program 3Dcalculations are the same for CAD and GameDev.

These programs are separated as 2 stand alown working programs.

Thanks for the remarks,
marc
