4.7b4 - tiny print/images

Post by WilliamL »

Hey, why is the text so small? I print 12 pt and it is tiny on the printed page. Not to mention the images. I guess the pixel size of the page is different but does that explain why the text is so small?

[after Fred's post]
ok, I see the change. The dimensions of the printed page is 4 times larger than before pb4.7. So now my page is 2448 x 3168 pixels. That would calculate out to a 12 pt text size needing to be printed out at (12x4) 48 pt and all the images will also have to be 4 times larger (resized). I would guess that the new size is used to sharpen up the drawing to the printer. :)

You will have to calculate the ration PrinterWidth()/Height() VS your text size

WilliamL: Also, on the old version the printer resolution was not reported properly - on this version it is - that is why you may see a sudden increase in Printer resolution and thus smaller fonts.
