Digitally created music played via analog hardware... this doesn't make any sense. :|
If any of you native English speakers have any suggestions for the above text, please let me know (via PM). Thanks!

I like your setup, but I guess my music taste rather differs :-)

Anyway, analogue isn't necessarily better than digital. But most of all, it's irrelevant. It's all a matter of taste. Some people like the way tube's sound, some people do not. Me, personally, I believe in having source, speakers and amp of roughly the same quality. Especially speakers is where many people fail. (Hell, I'm using 20 year old Magnat Lambda 10's, and to me they sound great.)

This is my setup: http://www.xs4all.nl/~bluez/datatalk/me ... 02.htm#kit

(One of the reasons I'm quite inactive on the PureBasic front lately is the time I've been spending on getting all home server stuff right.)

Passing digitised music through a tube plugin would probably give you the analog effect by reducing the digital harshness, personally I like the digital high end because my ears are getting a bit tired, and are acting like a tube processor anyhow. :)

:)

@Electro, the tube amp has a DAC input at the front. Just plugin a PC with Spotify, or
a media player and there you go.

Exactly, you are doing through your hardware, what I mean is if one listens to music from the PC/Laptop straight into speakers or headphones, to pass the digital file using a tube amp plugin, to simulate the same result as what you do. :)
By the way, Spotify looks interesting. :)

BTW, the pickup is a GRADO Prestige Black Phono MM, the best pickup i have ever heard.

The turntable is a Uk Citronic direct drive DJ turntable, and the RIIA and amplifier are from
China, from Ebay.

Speakers are US made AR Holographic Imaging M4, and camera is a Zoom Q3 HD. In case
you are interested in the technical side of this.

The amp has a built in DAC, so its easy to connect a laptor running eg Spotify or Deezer.
