Tablelizer 1.0.0 (for Mac)

Post by jamirokwai »

Hiya,

Announcing: Tablelizer 1.0.0
Site: http://the-crying-eye.com/Tablelizer

From the Website:
Sometimes, you have the image or printout of a diagram – but lack the original Excelfile. Tablelizer helps to extract data from these images. First, you have to measure the Chart, and set the origin and reference-sizes. If Y-Axis ranges from 0 to 10, then reference is a 10. If X-Axis ranges from 0 to 70, reference is 70 accordingly. Now, you are ready to fetch the data. Just click the top-edge of the chart-entries.

Tablelizer currently works with all charts using data in lines or bars.

This diagram can be brought to Excel in less than 3 minutes!

If you like to have a Windows-Version for testing, please tell me by answering this thread. I will give access to the beta 1.0.0 for Windows to first answering three PB-Users to have a look. Following bugfixes and such, they will receive free Copies (worth $ 5.99 or € 4,99), when I am ready to publish the Windows-thing.

Thanks for reading!

Looking good!

Does it work with horizontal bars?

If it sounds simple, you have not grasped the complexity.

Thanks...

No, no horizontal bars yet. But I am working on it :-)
Would be probably the easiest to rotate the image by 90 degrees before loading it ...

Another suggestion, since it's easy to do, would be to pick-up the colours used in the original chart.

You mean, let the user pick the colours, and try to catch the values automagically?
Hm, nice idea. Put it in my todo-list to consider. Thanks!
