Threads and files

Post by Paul Dwyer »

Are the functions in the files lib thread safe?

I notice that they work "on the current file" is that current for that thread? what happens is a file is opened in one thread (or in the main thread) and you want a thread to access it? if a different thread is working on a different file then which thread is current?

Cheers

Actually, almost nothing in PB is thread save.

Threads were actually implemented to do huge calculations or stuff like that
in the background. So the library commands were not written to be thread
save, sorry.
