Image >> Video

Hi there,

has anybody succeeded in creating a video from a stack of images using PB?
I know, I could use ffmpeg and such, but like to have it rely on built-in-commands or Mac OS X-API.

It's for my WebCamAddict-Tool.

Nobody seems to have managed it on Windows, even though the API does most of the hard work. Would be nice to see a PB Cross-Platform Lib.

I could probably use this:

ffmpeg -f image2 -i image%d.jpg video.mpg

But that includes downloading and installing ffmpeg
Going to investigate this further...

can you not just importc for quicktime?

....Not sure that QuickTime can actually do that task, but even if it can it would be a very expensive part of an app distribution (if distribution is even allowed).

Quicktime is a great idea. Apple offers a QTKit-Framework. This does, what I want to do. Did not have much time to dig in it, but it looks promising.

As for the distribution: No problem, as Frameworks are freely available on Mac OS X. My Diskonverter relies on the Disk Utility-Framework, and Apple sells Diskonverter in their App Store

The correct ImportC is "/System/Library/Frameworks/QTKit.framework/QTKit", but I must admit, I am overwhelmed
