Mascot for the caveman artisan?

Everything else that doesn't fall into one of the other PB categories.

Somehow the only reasonable mascot that comes to my mind, is the Simpson's dog.

Fast, lean, a little bit buggy at times, but men's best compiler.

Will post some sketches tomorrow when I get access to a scanner. So far I can only describe it as a cross between a wingless mosquito, a rat with elephant ears, dressed up in a hooded sweatshirt. But it will work swell animation wise.

Upload it to a webserver somewhere, mayby your internet account comes with free webspace? then include a IMG link to it in a message. Include something like this in your forum message:

Code: Select all

Yes, they give me free space, but only to set a personal webpage, that I' dont need. Thx for your response!

You can also use this space to keep your images and sourcecode and stuff... :)

Nice ant, einander..

I was thinking for a mascot, maybe a small wizard/magician might be good? perhaps he could be a bit clumpsy in a funny way..
I'm thinking of "monkey island" type av drawing/figure.. :)

Actually, come to think of it, PB has a mascot. 2 of them.

Dark Basic has the goblin.... you see it in most demos
and most beginners play with it.

DBPro also uses the goblin and added aliens

PureBasic has that Robot guy and the Fighter jet from WeaponzII

I think Blitz has the Dragon and that goofy guy for 3D and for 2D
they have some guy with a cannon on his shoulder.

in the cases I mentioned, the mascot was not deliberate, but came into being just to showcase how things worked and to give beginners something to tinker with.

Been very late on this subject

Yeah I like the Ant too and I think the walking robot is just a model taken from the Ogre examples.

Here is a quick sketch, what I would like to model for a PB mascot.
I like the idea that PB is the naughty kid in the league of programming languages.

I like the drawing Vanleth...
Although I think you should do something about his face.. I don't mind him being naughty, but he doesn't have to look like an evil retard?!?
