Play note length 1/4- 1/8- 1/16 with midi

How to play note length 1/4- 1/8- 1/16 with midi without using the delay function

Is there a standard control to play e.g. 1/8 note

I'm now using

PlayNote(#Channel4,$40,90)

Delay (200)
StopNote(#Channel2,$39)

But this will make my timing fail if e.g. I want to play 80 bpm

I use Delay with no trouble.

Try: Delay (60000/BPM)
BPM=Beats per minute
Beats=quarter note

Example:
For 80 quarter notes in 1 minute: Delay(60000/80)
