Everything else that doesn't fall into one of the other PB categories.

I'm very interested in the answer for some of my questions about PureBasic. I follow some forum threads here and I'm just curious about the opinion of more members than just the ones in such discussions. Please help to get a better overview.
As I'm missing polling functions, please copy the following form and simply mark your answers.

Currently, I have only developed for Win, but the whole reason I sought out PB instead of using PowerBasic was because I want the option for cross-platform.

I'd really like to see PB targeting llvm, it would result in much better assembly and open up
the development to any platform.

By the way: There are external poll platforms. I remember a pretty good one from Google, but don't know the name anymore. It has graphical reports and stuff. Maybe we should try it there again?!

Added moogle and ts-soft.

Re: What Operating System do you develop for? Small poll...

Thanks c4s for the quick summary. But I think it is too early. Maybe some more reports are comming?

At the end, we may discuss the results. So far (with no rating at all), there seem to be more Linux developers than MacOS developers. Furthermore, there seem to be a large amount of users doing real business with PB software (like me, too). Upon this, it is important to notice, that no one asked about more game-development. Instead, a lot of people are asking about more application development functions or better quality. Also interesting to see, that most users are fully or medium satisfied (>75%) so far. That are good news I think.

Important to say, that this may change, if more people are filling the form.

Please wait with discussion until more results are available.

Thank you!

Remark :
It's not strange there are more Linux developers compared to OS X.
OS X requires an Apple computer while Windows and Linux can run on every PC.
It's very easy to have Linux as an additional installation inside VirtualBox.

@wilbert
MacOS runs on the same machines as windows or linux
Also in a virtualbox, but it is not allowed to do this.

I thought OS X requred EFI :?

An interesting question might be if PB wouldn't contain one license for all platforms, what platforms would you get a license for.
While I have compiled some things for Linux to test cross platform capability, I wouldn't get a separate license for it if it were required.

When I read about PureBasic, I thought of it more as an application developing program rather than a games one like BlitzBasic/BlitzMax. I mean you could still make a game with it but by using other engines/libs.

The past few updates though have been mainly game oriented though.
