If you're unfamiliar with the Lilac Chaser illusion, here is the info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lilac_chaser
I thought it could be enhanced to work faster if the user had something to concentrate on in the center of the screen, something more than just an x. You can dl and try my version here: http://lloydsplace.com/lilacchaser.exe
If you're interested in the source it can be had here: http://lloydsplace.com/lilacchaser_code.txt
Have fun!

Whoa, that's interesting... the little scrolling textbox really does make it a lot simpler to focus and see the illusion.
I wonder if it works with other complementary colors? Any reason it seems to always be magenta/green?

interesting code. But for some reason with PB4.60(x64), the text scrolling doesn't work. Great bit of code though! Thanks for sharing

The text was packed by the 32bit version, it won't unpack on x64. The text is scrolling all right, it's just all spaces since nothing got unpacked into it.

Re: Lilac Chaser: netmaestro enhancement
I've seen this optical illusion several times as GIF images. Usually the pink dots seemed to be hide, so just a gray area was left. However I don't get this effect with your version. Here it seems that the dots become slightly green but they don't "hide" that easily... Maybe it's because of the moving speed, dot size, window size!?
If any of you native English speakers have any suggestions for the above text, please let me know (via PM). Thanks!
