Weird forum issue

A while back, I would get a notification of a new private message, but when I would check, there would be nothing there. I disabled PMs completely.

I enabled them earlier this morning because I was going to send a few questions to PrincieD. As soon as I enabled PMs, I got a notification of a new private message, but there is nothing there when I would check. I have disabled them again to quit being nagged by the message.


I seem to remember a long time ago, somebody posting about a similar problem. Has anybody else been experiencing this issue lately?

What I've experienced (I'm using PM's only sometimes and don't call my postbox regularly...) is the following:
If I get a notification by e-mail about a new PM and don't have read it within a short time, it's possible to the original author of the PM to delete it.... that's why you can get a notification about a new PM, but the PM isn't there anymore.
