I posted a bug report for a bug that only existed in my brain

What's more curious is why it was moved to Off Topic instead of just being deleted :!:

I'm going to bet that 100% of everyone who saw this topic title opened it. Naming a topic "ignore this" is probably the very best way to make sure everyone reads it. Good old human nature. What a puzzle.
