Thanks, I'll try that :D I know it had a prime number of iterations (sha1-2 don't have this) that went far further into the full set of primes but there was more to it. I saw it so clearly, even the beautiful shape the numbers morphed into, and now it's gone. The base set and sigmas were built on the golden ratio and a couple of other wrinkles too. All was 128bit. Maybe over time it'll come back.

Sounds like you where having a good epiphany with the golden ratio or maybe just a Rain man moment.
I don't think I can appreciate or comprehend the nature of those hash functions the eyes glaze over reading the theory

Ah, that explains why, right after the vision, Charlie Babbitt grabbed my neck and injured me badly. I wrote it in my journal right away.

The bad brother! It'll probably come back to you when you least expect it.
You may as well just start coding it, is there such a thing as automatic coding?
