i do most of my dev on a small network at home, where the gateway (do't laugh) runs windows 98se, zonealarm and nat32plus (stable as hell, and that's the only thing that counts)
i'd like to add something that either measures or limits the amount of traffic for one of the client machines behind the gateway... any suggestions on something simple and cheap? (hey, i'm dutch)

Try BMExtreme (freeware) or BMExtreme Pro (shareware):
http://www.bmextreme.lp23.com/
I used BMExtreme with my ADSL connection for a while, but had to stop
when my Xbox got modded because it (BMExtreme) was calculating my
FTP transfers from my PC to the Xbox (and thus messing up my ADSL
tally). I was too cheap to pay for the Pro version, so I stopped using
the freeware one.
