The "greenest" ! Saying that after Fukushima !?IdeasVacuum wrote:Well, the greenest sources for huge amounts of electricity are Nuclear power plants. To support a rapid growth of electric-power vehicles, some governments are going to opt for Nuclear - the UK already has. Like everyone else perhaps, I like the sound of the benefits that Nuclear brings, but I don't want to live next door to the power plant........so I'm hoping that other initiatives come to the fore.

I think my last sentence recognises that there is. The fact remains, if you can make Nuclear safe(?), then the environment is not changed as it is by almost every other major method of power generation currently in service, including wind turbines, hydroelectric generators etc as well as the fossil-fuel burners. Many of us believe however that the risk is too great.

My 'electric rides' means something special to me, and I think more and more people will feel
the same as this technology will become available to everyone.
To be able to cruise along without a sound is a fantastic experience, and makes you feel part of
the solution, rather than the problem.
