I asked something like this:

As far as your transparency issues... I suspect you aren't having much luck because of the program used.

Did you try

BMP2ICO: http://download.cnet.com/QTam-Bitmap-to ... 23814.html

ONLINE: http://www.rw-designer.com/online_icon_maker.php

in PB: http://www.purebasic.fr/english/viewtop ... reate+icon+
(may need updating)
Binarily speaking... it takes 10 to Tango!!!

Hi c4s,
thanks for the side-note. Maybe my "workaround-version" might now and then be useful anyway, e. g. if people want to spare the PNG-Decoder and avoid using ICO-format to stay platform-independent.

Personally I use IcoFX, freeware & available here : http://icofx.ro It will allow you to do standard icon sizes, custom icon sizes, import images to create icons, extract icons from exe files. Transparency is a snap using it as well, I use it for my image buttons in PB, have yet to have any issues with transparency,

I would like to agree with this: IcoFX is the best freeware icon-editor I came about until now.
