There is a difference between knowing the code and writing the code.
May the code be strong in your projects.

 I just hope those plugin-developers shake a leg 'cause last time I checked more than half of my addons weren't available for the beta yet.

Re: FireFox 4 final ready for download
Not a fan of this new version... My status bar is gone and I get that ugly popup everytime I hover on something.. my color theme is gone and there is no classic/default

And hell... the page scrolling actually seems slower/choppier then before.. so much for "hardware acceleration"
edit: ok I fixed the choppy scrolling... had to turn off auto-scrolling (yeah...that makes sense....no, really.....)

Re: FireFox 4 final ready for download
At first I thought. What an ugly style. Just like Chrome.
But I got used to it.
Yeah the statusbar popup replacement is kinda annoying, but I kinda like that the statusbar is gone. Besides from the link you hovered it didn't show any other useful information. It was a waste of space. So I'm glad it's gone.
I need the space on my widescreen. It's only 768px high.
I even got rid of the tabs for that reason (I'm using Foxtab. Easy jumping to the next/previous tab with Rightclick + Scrollwheel. Also the preview of all opened tabs is much faster than the new Firefox 4 Feature)

Re: FireFox 4 final ready for download
I currently use Firefox 3.5.2, and 4 starts so much faster and scrolls so much smoother! And pages that I regularly visit (like these forums) do load faster for me. So, me like, me like!

Re: FireFox 4 final ready for download
I was just trying FF4 and IE9. They seem much faster but I have not been using all the same add-ons.
Does anybody know if Chrome has a way to keep Favorites open and perhaps docked on the left? If not, it is hard to imagine anybody preferring it to FF.

@buddymatkona:
You can position the bookmark-bar permanently under the adress-bar in the settings.
Don't know it by heart, but Chromes settings possibilities are not many so it's easy to find.
I don't think you can position it to the left. But there may be an addon for this purpose.

Re: FireFox 4 final ready for download
Thanks but the main thing for me is a way to keep the Favorites in view at all times. The only way I could surf around with Chrome was to keep clicking the bar over and over because Chrome would hide my links every time I loaded a new page. I never want a bar to click. I want my folders and links to stay open and visible just like in FF and IE.

@TomS
Thanks but I was looking for a way to keep bookmarks open on the main page. I guess I will uninstall Chrome until their next release.

Re: FireFox 4 final ready for download
I don't get it.
What do you mean by "mainpage".
Either all the bookmarks are always visible, or only when you open a new tab.
Or do you want all your bookmarks to stay open and being displayed on the new-tab-page with thumbnails?
There's got to be an extension for that. It's not possible in FF without an extension, either.
