How do I use the MacBook's touchpad?

For two-finger scrolling, pinch zoom, etc.
Do I have to read vectors from the touchpad and construct my own functions or are there pre-constructed functions I can use?
any APIs?
support in PB?

...make use of the touchpad it probably should have said in the title, even I know how to use it :wink:
