Hi
Not having two monitors I would appreciate having the help file available in the tools panel.
Thanks,
Simon

Isn't just hitting 'F1' easier?swhite wrote:... I would appreciate having the help file available in the tools panel.

Re: Add Help File to ToolsPanel
Hi
It is definitely easy to get to the help. The problem is that is on top of my IDE and it would be simpler if I could see both together so having an option that could put it in a side panel would help. The other solution is to get a second monitor.

Right-click the taskbar -> Tiles windows vertically.
No screen real estate lost and it's no different to having it
in the Tools Panel. But I agree: I want a second monitor
for various PC tasks, too!
Or a widescreen one.

I compile using 5.31 (x86) on Win 7 Ultimate (64-bit).

so that I'm forced to view the helpfile in a width-amount of 5cm and having to scroll horizontally to death (what I already have to do with the normal help-file).
1cm for the index and 4cm for the contains?

Re: Add Help File to ToolsPanel
Thanks Freak and like Vera said I hope it is optional.
Vera I am not sure what you mean about how narrow the panel is as I can make it as wide as I like so it seems that it should be just as usable as a separate window.

Re: Add Help File to ToolsPanel
Hello swhite,
I already have many problems without wordwrap, plus the toolpanel that needs extraspace and so it is as slim as it can be.
I hope your single wish doesn't destroy this usage, or unable the normal usage of the help-file.
By the way - why don't you close the toolpanel, slim the IDE and place the help next to it, turn of the index - so they don't overlap. After all, the space you'll need to see the two-paned helpfile will not be less only because it is displayed inside the panel.
If you can't slim the IDE now already - you won't have enough room afterwards just the same.

Re: Add Help File to ToolsPanel
I think the real question here is: what did swhite do to get Freak
to grant his request so damn quickly?
He must know something
about Freak that Freak doesn't want out.

Of course its a must. Its all part of our big evil plan to keep people from reading the manual!Vera wrote:Will this be a must ?![]()

Pure luck. He asked for something that was real easy to implement, and I was up for some light coding just then.PB wrote:I think the real question here is: what did swhite do to get Freak
