House clearance - some free programming books to go!

Post by srod »

Hi,

having a house clearance prior to some renovating work / decorating (where I completely destroy the house) and the following books are surplus to requirements. The only charge will be for postage.

Delivery to UK only. Please contact me through pm if any of the following are of interest.
  • Delphi 6
    Developer's Guide.
    Steve Teixeira and Xavier Pacheco.
  • Ivor Horton's Beginning ANSI C++
    The Complete Language
    Third edition.
  • Ivor Horton's Beginning Visual C++ 5
  • Programming Microsoft Windows with Microsoft Visual Basic.Net
    Charles Petzold.
  • Teach Yourself Visual C++ in 21 Days (SAMS)
  • Microsoft Visual C++ .NET Step By Step
    Julian Templeman and Andy Olsen.
  • Visual C++ .NET Bible.

    Tom Archer and Andrew Whitechapel.
I may look like a mule, but I'm not a complete ass.

AHA! The bible of C! :wink:
C provides the infinitely-abusable goto statement, and labels to branch to. Formally, the goto is never necessary, and in practice it is almost always easy to write code without it. We have not used goto in this book. -- K&R (2nd Ed.) : Page 65

...yeah, Teach Yourself In 21 Days is not so good - that book is still in pristine condition on my shelf :mrgreen: If anybody is interested in C programming (i.e. your hobbies include going gray/bald and accusing your dog of staring at you), I recommend K N King's C Programming A Modern Approach, a brilliant book despite the subject matter.

If it sounds simple, you have not grasped the complexity.

Blast. Though, nothing I wanted either.

I already have soo many programming books. I buy them super cheap on Amazon for a couple dollars, usually 90-99% off. Shipping is almost always more expensive than the book itself. :)
