RegSoft

Anyone else here use RegSoft?

I have used them since 2004. I chose this company because after you had everything setup, after a approved purchase, an automatic email went to the customer with the download link and registration key. I had 2000 registration keys available for one of my products. I just sold my 92nd copy today when a customer contacted me asking for their registration key. They got an error saying, "No Serial Numbers Left please contact the author.", in the automatic email for them. So I went to verify how many keys I had left on RegSoft and sure enough, there wasn't any left.

So now I'm wondering if there was a technical error? Even though the rest of the setup was fine for this product. Or have I just been ripped off? And should I even believe there response once I get an email back from them? I just find this really odd.

If you have any experience with RegSoft, good or bad, please respond. I'm not sure if I should continue using them or not?

Ok, I just went and did 7 test orders. And there is nothing wrong with how their system sends out registration keys.

I did this because I did noticed that at the bottom of the emails of approved registered customers, it showed how many keys you have left. Well, it doesn't go down like 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, like it did with my test orders. My last two orders went from 7 to 0. That leaves me to guess that there were 6 orders that I never got payed for.

Now I have to go through past emails and verify more of this. :(

I can't help you specifically but do they have a contact option? If so better use that one. I bet their technicians know best what's wrong with your setup.

I just started to use Avangate a few month ago and I really like them. Basically I used the following article for my decision:
http://successfulsoftware.net/2009/10/1 ... e-vendors/

What I can say is that they got even better in those month (also the article is from last year). The support is great, they offer a lot payment options etc.
I think you should go away from that Digital River stuff because they take a lot money from your sales and the vendor interface is pretty underdeveloped...but that's just my opinion.
If any of you native English speakers have any suggestions for the above text, please let me know (via PM). Thanks!

J. Baker: Why were you letting them distribute the reg numbers? This is a major mistake. No matter what service you use, you should always handle the distribution of the serial numbers or the registered version yourself. This prevents an order service from collecting and processing orders and not paying you.
Best wishes to the PB community. Thank you for the memories. ♥️

If you can make the time, you can always implement your own shopping cart and order processing using the PayPal IPN API. That's what I do.

Let me know if you have any questions. I know the PayPal IPN API very well.

I use PayPal too, they have an email invoice system which works well. However, they are expensive if you make international sales and their tech support department is a bit lacking.

If it sounds simple, you have not grasped the complexity.

If you change your account to not convert currencies you can either hang onto it and exchange it when the rate is good or transfer it to a bank account.

I don't follow what is expensive about it?
