OSX and Linux CHM Reader.

Got an idea for enhancing PureBasic? New command(s) you'd like to see?

OSX and Linux CHM Reader.

Post by ShDancer »

Hi all.

I'am have a MacBook and a MacPro and also other windows/LINUX machines, i need to read CHM in the Mac's ( I prefer *nix based machines ) so i started to surf the web and found this http://xchm.sourceforge.net/index.html, and i thought "Well this could be a nice addition to Purebasic".

So i've decided to post it here so it could be included :-) (Or NOT :-( ) in the PB Editor for OSX and Linux (Sorry No Amiga Version).

Here is a small description from the site.
Description
xCHM is a cross-platform GUI front-end to chmlib, with borrowed bits from Pabs' chmdeco project.
Originally written for UNIX systems (Linux, *BSD, Solaris), xCHM has been since ported to Mac OS X and Windows.

xCHM can show the content tree if one is available, print pages, change font face and size, remember bookmarks, display a searchable index, and search for words in the current page and the whole book.
Well i think this would be a nice addition since the HTML help version would be no longer necessary.
So, what do you think guys?

EDIT: Opss I've downloaded the program and it worked fine, but after i've posted here i was reading the website and i saw this.
Mac OS binaries discontinued, please donate if you need them!

I no longer have access to the Mac machine I've been using to make builds of xCHM on. If they were important to you, I need to raise about 800 EUROs (for the cheapest MacMini machine available here, which I believe is the cheapest Mac machine available). If you'd like to help, please use the "Support this project" button at the bottom of all the pages on the website. Thanks!
That was a good ideia. :-(

But here is another http://chmox.sourceforge.net/ its too bad but its only for OSX.

Does any one know another one CHM Reader?

Bye all
ShDancer.
