I am new to the Mac OSX and was taken aback by the Menu Bar at the top of the screen which changes with the active application.
My app has numerous child windows and, under Windows and Linux, the main window as well as any others in the chain above the active child is deactivated while the child is visible.
This appears not to be the case under OSX. The main window menu is always active and can launch multiple child windows leading to about as much chaos as when 2-3 real children are let loose.
Is there any way to disable the main menu?
