It's happened three times today for me.
Does anyone else ever...
Does anyone else ever...
Does anyone else ever begin creating a new topic about a coding error or a question that they have only to finish copy pasting certain parts of their code inside of the topic and after typing out the wall of text explaining the issue to see their own error and after amending it, realize they wasted 15 minutes writing a new topic that they no longer need to post?

it's only natural that after manifesting something you've handed it over (made subject to object) and can do no more but hope and relax - that's when your free again to listen to your own answers
I agree, it's kind of elaborate to open up a thread to realise a solution but then they too can be helpful for others

Well, partially. The answers typically came a few hours or a day later, after I posted the quesion. They (unfortunately) didn't come the moment I started asking the question, unfortunately...

You mean you can edit your code if it doesn't work right??? How long has THIS been going on???
I do this... was doing it when I pasted the source and realized I had a variable name mismatch... bleh!

I'm pretty sure it happens to all of us now and again... to some a bit more frequent than others, perhaps

C provides the infinitely-abusable goto statement, and labels to branch to. Formally, the goto is never necessary, and in practice it is almost always easy to write code without it. We have not used goto in this book. -- K&R (2nd Ed.) : Page 65
