I am looking for a relatively easy to use graphics package for use on a Windows computer.
It would be great if it supports opening and editing of PSD files, but it's not a must.
I've looked at Paint Shop Pro, but it seems too bloated with it's image organizer and stuff. I already use Picasa for that.
Price range; up to $150 USD.
Do you have any tips on a package I should test?
Btw, I already have a license for RealDRAW Pro, but that is more towards vector graphics.

I don't like buying shit when there is good free stuff, I kinda like GIMP.

What will you mostly use it for?

I've never liked GIMP for some reason.
But I don't mind paying for quality software.
For the usage, mostly editing photos, and it must support layers. Would also be great if it supported Photoshop plugins, but not a must.

Actually I understand you, I think.GeoTrail wrote:I've never liked GIMP for some reason.
It is kinda weird at first, and I'll admit that I mostly use Paint.net. But when it comes to drawing shit with my tablet thingy GIMP is what I prefer and I have come to learn that it is a nice program.
Yeah, we both paid for PureBasicGeoTrail wrote: But I don't mind paying for quality software.
I don't know what else to recommend really, I don't use image editing programs too much. Well, I once manipulated some fake boobs on my friend but other than that I mostly just do simple stuff.

Hello GeoTrail,
I found this german program and think it's worth a closer look, as it seems to implicate all you ask for. There's a free and pro (test)-version and the forum has an english section, where you could sniff around
Artweaver : overview ~ version-comparison
As for Gimp - I think it's kind of must (& crossplattform!) - but to me it's also too demanding, still I use it a lot
greetings ~ Vera

That looks perfect Vera.
I used the free version some time ago, but after re-installing Windows 7 after I got my SSD disk I forgot all about it.
