I've been working the past few months on an archive for purebasic code.

It's a purearea clone, but that will be maintained by users.

I've been doing it has a learning method of php + mysql, and had no real intention of releasing it, but it's been going well and i think that in a month i can put a beta online.

Question is...
Is there any real interest on a site like this???

I voted for yes because it looks good and the code archive really needs an update.

Anyway, I think the vote is somehow invalid. The following mesaage appeared: "The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again."

The voting doesn't work with subsilver plus! The same on german forum.
The template must be updated to work, with exact the same version as the forum!

Interesting idea, the project looks cool . It would be very useful to have a new archive site since the one you made is dynamic and we can quickly add codes to it. I presume it will have some kind of user system with login, etc?

Well, yes and no.

Any user can upload code in three ways:

1. On site with a form + captcha - no registration needed
2. Via login on site
3. Using a plugin in the IDE

One of my goals is to upload the entire purearea code, i'm analyzing the 'best' way now to see if it is possible.

So the planned features are:

Easy code upload (options above)
Upgradeable Category List (done & with stats!)
A search engine for code (to do)
Geshi code template for purebasic (done)
Send code via email (done)
Download code with a single click (done)
Print code (done)
RSS Feed (to do)
Stats on code download/viewed (done)
If a user creates an account he/she get's 512kb ftp space (just like pureftp) (partially working)

Code, images and uploads are stored in a database, and are served via php scripts (fully working).

Why?

Because this way backups can be made and restored with a single click
Also mirror sites will be very easy to make!

Ehehe i haven't really ever finished it.

Btw, since xipa.org domain is payed for 5 years, i'll probably put it to good use and upload the repository there.

Looks good so far, maybe a few things to look at tho while in development;

for example, in the API section:

GetCommandLine_ has the poster listed as 'Danilo' but when you click on it to look at the code the 'Category' changes to '3D' and the poster changes to 'Num3' in the information on the page with the code making one think that 'Num3' created the code (not actually but the use of the common word "poster" between the two pages is confusing on this point.)

Thanks for the hard work.
I would suggest listing the code items instead of the card views.
They are much harder to search and browse.
And you can add sortability to the individual columns(Hits or Date Added, etc.), eliminating the need for "Top Code" link.
