you will see that IDIGICON also is the distributor of IBasic.

We will see how long it will take till the IBasic developer will be in pain too...
I'm worried about this, Paul has put a lot of hard work into making IBasic into a great language. I hope they're nice to him.

Yeah, perhaps best to atleast make him aware of what has happened.

I've sent Paul a private message through the Pyxia forums.

Hopefully it will all work out OK. I know how things can esculate when deals like this go bad and lawyers get involved.

I don't think the developer of IBasic will listen much. He has too much invested in the deal with IDigIcon. A lot of people at the IBasic forum didn't like it much when he signed that deal.

A year ago, or something, there was much talk about the new IBasic version. It would be a real compiler, just like PB. The web site said something like "check this page in the coming weeks".

The weeks turned to months and now a year. The IBasic forum is almost dead. It's a tragic story really.

The next versions of IB are not even listed on IDigiCon's site as upcoming. All they have is the same IB that people had when the deal was signed. It sucks big time.

On the other hand I still have two more weeks off from work. :P

C ya!

I would agree with TronDoc. I realy liked IBasic but I have pretty much moved on because of the wait. I will wait to make my final decision but it doesn't look good. IDigicon has there hands tight around the developer of IBasic neck. He can barely talk about anything.

Keep up the good work Fred!

I think that the main mistake made by Paul and Idigicon is that they don't give the users any information.

Is IBasic Pro round the corner or is it another year until it is released. Because of this I don't use IBasic anymore.

I really hope this will never happen to Purebasic - and why should it?

This thread is over a YEAR OLD  This has been settled between Blitz and Idigicon ... Ibasic Pro has been out for a while

Funny how people stumble across old threads and forget to check dates.

I'm not really sure how you can stumble across a post from a year ago! What the hell? :-)

via Search?

..

BTW, Isn't this what we promote? Get up to date on everything? Search/read the boards? So kudus and props are perhaps in order! :)

Also, this may be relevant given there is another topic recently surfaced re idigicon. (Let it be that PB and idigicon never cross paths)

..

Anyhow, now that we're all posting here (posts+1) it is current again. *tease*

It's easy.
Start browsing to catch up, run across something of interest with news to add and fire away. Who looks at dates anyway? Otherwise it's known as open mouth, insert foot.
