PB 4.50 beta 2

Post by srod »

Hi,

anyone else finding that a lot of PB commands are not showing IDE status bar quick-help and are not being capitalised? I would say that this affecting about 50% of all commands!

Don't know about capitalization, but I see a lot of PB commands not shown in the statusbar quick help.

I see some of user defined procedure are not visualized at all in the statusbar when typing their name, too.

I must admit this beta seems a little more rushed then usual, no offense.

But hey, with a little patience ...

Beta2 had to be out fast because the IDE was messing up people's project files. We didn't look at any minor bugs so far.

btw, if you want something fixed, you have to be a little more specific about it.

Certainly Freak, you are right and I try to be specific when I'm doing a bug report, but in the case in point I was simply replying to a srod's question. After all this is "general discussion". 8)

I didn't post a bug report because these issues crop up from time to time and generally get fixed between betas etc.

BTW srod...

I just noticed it seem to affect command starting with "S".... I don't get the quick help for any of the "S" commands I'm trying....

Can you confirm ?

(that would explain your 50% evaluation, there are a lot of commands starting with "S" ...)

Confirmed.

But there are other commands as well; e.g. OpenWindow().

Also CreateImage().

Using the list by Vera in this post http://www.purebasic.fr/english/viewtop ... 33#p320233

Nearly all commands Beginning wit C, D, I, O and S don't come up.
And most of the New commands.

(there are a few exceptions, e.g. ClearStruct, CopyStruct)

Hope this helps.

Well, it is a beta. I appreciate seeing it a little early, if it even is. Give me a chance to prepare for the final.

cheers

No problem :)
It just 'disappeared' among all these impressive new features 8)

Perhaps I posted it in the wrong forum? Well, that does not matter.
I was not the only one experiencing the problem, right? :D

It must be an OS problem, not a flaw in PureBasic !!!
