Ok, got something real cool here : hexacopter !

It runs on battaries but goes blowing faster compared to something similar
with an internal combustion engine . . . awesome flight power !!

All here :

I checked it through google, this thing is for real !

here's one with a HD Video cam on it, amazing performance :

I'm going to buy one asap before the govs or pollies are going to take
this away from the public. It's just too cool not to have.

I saw that video yesterday, damn sweet (and fast)!
I am actually building a quadrocopter, I thought hexa would be a little overkill, still waiting for the motors...
I like logic, hence I dislike humans but love computers.

Cripes! No wonder people think they see UFO's. :)

I want one too :)

This is cool! It looks like every motor turns opposite to the one across from it... I wonder how easy it is to turn?

order just about everything for it here > https://www.mikrocontroller.com/index.p ... x&cPath=80 > looks like this is mostly a you-put-it-together-yourself project. I want one fully assenbled, i'll buy one now if they have one.

hexacopter, extended videos (gps and waypoints)

Post by codewalker »

:
I found the extended version of the first video. (need latest flashplayer)

http://hackaday.com/2010/02/15/hexacopter/

Here it shows :

1. gps
2. coming home
3. elevator mode
4. hight control
5. payload

And here it even shows that it can fly a route along waypoints that you can upload with a laptop.

Add a little 3.5 cc engine with a small alternator, which should weigh only little, and you would extend flight time to incredible numbers... Add a zoom home waypoint so you can send it out of transmitter reach, and return to base when the fuel is gone and only battery is left...

I love it, but it would be increadibly easy to abuse...
