Using the Windows Help file when using Windows 7

Post by DoubleDutch »

Microsoft haven't released the Windows 7 version of WinHlp32 yet, so you cant press F1 on a API command to get help. :(

Luckily someone has written an installer for Windows 7 here:

Unpack the CAB file and run the install file as administrator and the old help file should work. :)

(I don't know if this should go in Tricks/Tips or the Windows only category - if in the wrong place please can an Admin move it?)

Looks like the item has been removed at that link?
The advantage of a 64 bit operating system over a 32 bit operating system comes down to only being twice the headache.

If you paint your butt blue and glue the hole shut you just themed your ass but lost the functionality.
