I should be coding but I started listening to Finley Quaye and it's made me feel like lounging in the garden instead...

I have three levels of music requirements

1. Relaxed, starting a framework or just fun coding, Blur, Oasis, anything upbeat
2. Need to think a bit, Pink Floyd, Mike Oldfield, Tangerine Dream
3. Big problems, Classical

I listen to a Japanese rock group called Go!Go!7188. I've always liked them in general but it's really good for coding because I can only understand a few of the words and they're really energetic. I seem to type and code faster when the rhythm of music is faster. I feel like I have to keep up. But it's energetic and happy(ish) music so it doesn't make me feel stressed.

I stick to Trance on radio via Digitally Imported... It has a nice flow to it, and seamless mixing from one track to another, so it's just so easy to work to.

Though when working in my job, where I have to write a lot of design documents, etc. I'll listen to classical music, or soundtracks from movies from such composers as John Williams... Keeps me from losing my temper and essentially losing my job.

Within is awesome, that singer and some of the songs turned really crazy, definitely that band is one of the very best of all times.

Wow, that was cool. Good sound quality, moves along nicely. Bob James was unknown to me, thanks for the tip. :)

I hear many different music, depends on my actual mood.
I tend to hear music opposite to my mood. If i have a good day i hear music like Katie Melua and if i have a bad day i hear fun music like Dune. I also hear game music like symphonic shades by Chris Hülsbeck or the Darius Gaiden soundtrack (the actual soundtrack from the game cd, not the remasterd).

Katie Melua, hers music is just unbelievable beautiful:

Dune, music thats just pure fun and also very beautiful.
