OpenFileRequester open .app files

Post by GeoTrail »

I have PB 4.40 b2 running Snow Leopard 10.6.1.
When I run the code below, I can open ALL files except .app files. Why is this? Is this some kind of Max OS X limitation? Remember, I am new to Mac ;)

Code: Select all

Filename$ = OpenFileRequester("Select file", DefaultFile$, "All files (*.*)|*.*", -1)

Possibly a limitation to pb's file requester. (i'm sure i've seen other OS X apps let you select a .app)
Also, .app bundles are folders not files

Aaa I see. Folders? I kinda thought it was more like a zip file or some other package.

Nope, just Finder treats them like it.
To something like a PB app or Terminal they're just folders (and the same thing when you click "view contents" in finder)
