Wont stay logged in to new forums

Is it just me or is any one else noticing that the "Keep me logged in" or "automatically log me in" feature isn't working with the new forums?

It never worked for me on the old forums, let alone the new forums

It only happens on this phpbb3 installation. It's normal for me

Happens to me occasionally but deleting my browser's cookies always fixes it.

Also tried that, but no cigar.

I always get logout if i close firefox.

Same problem here, have to log in on each and every visit, even though I ticked the box. How hard can it be to fix this?

Works fine for me here now, but i initially had that problem too. I use IE 8 on Windows 7 and in Vista. Here is what i had to do; Delete your cookies AND clear everything out of your cache and then delete your browsing history entries. Come back to the forum and wait until the page is fully loaded, check the box, log in, then close the browser after logged in, then open the browser and come back to the forum and see if your still logged in. Wait for each step to complete fully before moving on.

1. Delete cookies
2. Use the URL www.purebasic.fr/english to access the forum.

This solved it for some guy in another topic.

Keeping the session ID in the URL is a security vulnerability and is only allowed by PHPBB if cookies are turned off. Which suggests that cookies aren't being set right.

the sid maybe contained in the URL in the beginning of the sessions.
don't put it into your favs, don't post it in the forums.

forums.purebasic.com is the wrong domain and won't let you stay logged in.

use www.purebasic.fr/english/, for Simon's sake!

As the posters stated in this thread. The above url does not make a difference as to whether you stay logged in or not.

I'll try it but I did not have this problem with the old software, I stayed logged in regardless of which domain I used.
