[Editor] - more handly

Post by stmdbe2019 »

Please add the editor as duplicate of following:
- Notepad++
- Netbeans

(when i see pure basic editor it reminds me i am going to write a code for NASA)

I suspect he dislike the the current PB IDE and he would like it to be automagically transformed in a clone of the two above.

It already does have most of those features (it uses Scintilla just like Notepad++). Or you can just use Notepad++ as the PureBasic editor instead if you like, because the PureBasic compiler is not locked to any one editor.

Are you sure??? I think he wants the iguana integrated in to the IDE!

Some of those features looked interesting BUT I see most of them here anyway! What feature from Notepad++ did you want specifically?
Binarily speaking... it takes 10 to Tango!!!

What's present in those screenshots, but not present in the IDE by default, is a lot of code. I think he's looking for the "write the program" button.

Thank you for the feedback, and i have human rights to talk and request a feature!. Here u go:

i dont understand one thing that is, when you request for a feature, millions of users, just want dont add that feature kindly!!. Here is the difference if you can understand.

Do you understand Differences between this two picture>?:
==============================================================
1. Why not use this: http://www.sntc.org.sz/sdphotos/photos/scar1930s.jpg
2. But you dream to use this? : http://damox.com/cars/thumbs/Jaguar/Jag ... 0_huge.jpg

Do you get it or not yet?
You can have lot of features, also you can avoid.

which allow you to make things much better way and quicker way if you keep positive thinking, but avoiding a feature and giving critics are not the solution. Other wise why in the name of god, the word was made "USER FRIENDLY" you dont make things that only making you happy!, pureBasic is doing just like VB6 did thinking your dreams and ideas, putting new requests and ideas in trash?

pureBasic Editor vs Other editors:
==============================
- Programming language code editors defination is:
a. get help as much as possible (to win time), you can also write codes in DOS mode or VI mode, and compile back to GUI pure basic ( just to lose the time and drink more coffee in office???)

b. if you have auto complete, and ask GOD, i am done i have all in pureBasic? no, you can do more like this, it speed new commer and everyone. ex: http://www.netbeans.org/images/v6/7/scr ... editor.png

c. Code indents: http://www.netbeans.org/images/v6/7/fea ... en-pom.png

d. error highlight: http://img21.imageshack.us/img21/4342/clipboard20m.jpg

e. be creative in editor please. dont think you what you made is enough

f. http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/uk/screenshots.php

g. you cant use change make tracks

h. http://img11.imageshack.us/img11/6824/clipboard19n.jpg

i. You cant get helped by editor for 5000+ codes?

j. What kind of editor is that, which cant help to code faster? Why not simply popup windows or other os default editors and salender oooops, sorry we dont have editors? That also solve the coding!

k. You dont have under line while code folding?

l. Many to write i can write a book on it, whats missing..

PureBasic is great language, but be positive and creative in editor, to help coders to move faster, and have some understanding of what feature requests means kindly.

shamun, just use Notepad++ as your editor instead, then. It seems to have all you want. You don't need to use the PureBasic editor.

... and first try it, I sincerely doubt you've been trying seriously with just a few posts and a long list of requests that are for the larger part already implemented.

Then, if you're belgian, you may try the french boards if the language is an issue. Your mail is hard to read, to be honest.
