I think tho there is a little problem with the search function. If I search for this >internetcheckconnection ... then I get this > "The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words: internetcheckconnection. You must specify at least one word to search for. Each word must consist of at least 3 characters and must not contain more than 14 characters excluding wildcards." But...if I search for this >internetcheck ...the search works. 'internetcheckconnection' is > 14 characters, and 'internetcheck' = 13 characters, so the search is limited to just 14 characters max?
What a nice facelift for the forum

Re: What a nice facelift for the forum
The only problem is it's hard to see where one post stops and another post starts. The colors are too similar. The only advantage I've seen so far is the "Select All" button for code, which is nice. Other than that, it doesn't seem much of an improvement over the old forums. <Shrugs>.

I see now. Initially I didn't because of the default color scheme -- it's bad for old eyes.

Re: What a nice facelift for the forum
I like it kind of... will see. Th bboard improvements seem to be doing well.
Things I wish:
1. My Avatar was bigger (no jokes about genetics please!)
2. I could see where to change my settings easier so I could se if there were other looks for the forum.
3. More smilies
4. MORE COWBELL... I gotta have MORE COWBELL!!!
5. If there are NEW threads in a topic in a forum the graphic was MORE DIFFERENT or had a solid gold color fill to easier differentiate it from no new threads graphic... Maybe a smiley face?

Re: What a nice facelift for the forum
I like it, well worth doing - the PB Graphics should be updated to better match the new BB colour schemes...

Re: What a nice facelift for the forum
If you want back something close to the old look (the new one is plain weird) then just go into your settings and select "subsilver2". The other one "SkyLineBlue" was maybe even nicer.
I like logic, hence I dislike humans but love computers.

Re: What a nice facelift for the forum
to be honest, "subsilver2" is straight boring and an awkward dull rehash of the old theme for phpbb2...
gives me reverse bulimia rightaway.

Dear Kaeru,
nice to hear hear that everything is all right for you
But on both alternatives I can't neither read your signature nor identify the letters of the codes without doubleoversizing the browser-settings - so in the end I will be forced to use the new common style if I want to read the threads like before - I don't think this is fair
~ Vera
ps: I dropped this in the wrong thread and now I realise one cannot delete it's own posting anymore even if it's the last one

Re: What a nice facelift for the forum
the sig became a bit smaller, that is true, but I still can read it..
concerning the code, Fred already said he altered the size of the font for it.
what I meant is all the "blue" problems and this stuff.
there are two different blues devided by lightblue or gray frames.
the topics with new postings carry a simbol with red engravers not gray ones.
... I just wonder where the heck my avatar went, it was here a few hours ago.
and I wish there was a possibility to link the same Image on the server for all Avatars in all forums on this server.
I use the same here and in the german forums, and I find it silly to uplode the Image twice.

the code like this

the whole font has been downsized on both styles
well it's middel-blue on blue and dark-blue on blue and light-blue on blue - imagine it all in pinkKaeru Gaman wrote:what I meant is all the "blue" problems and this stuff.

Re: What a nice facelift for the forum
Yes, this is annoying. Fred, can we have the ability again to delete our own posts if no replies have been made? Makes it good when you post to the wrong section, or ask a stupid question and realise the answer and want to delete it before people read it.Vera wrote:ps: I dropped this in the wrong thread and now I realise one cannot delete it's own posting anymore even if it's the last one
